Emily Byerly Teaching Toolkit
The ways of learning are an integral part in understanding adult learners. Specifically, how they will learn. For example, what means will support the learning expectations and goals that are set for the class.
Motivation is an important component of the learning process that energizes and encourages students to seek knowledge and find the ambition to read, write, and participate in learning in and out of the classroom setting. There are many strategies that can be implemented by an educator to increase learners’ motivation to learn.
Learning strategies are the specific types of methods that can be used to help students learn, such as lectures, games, reflection, etc. All are areas that support learning and growth in a variety of ways.
About Me
My name is Emily Byerly and I am a board certified music therapist who lives and works in Denmark. I hope one day to be a professor of music therapy. I am new to the teaching world, so this toolkit is a compilation of teaching resources that have been impactful to me as an aspiring educator. The purposes of this toolkit are further explained on the ‘About Me’ page. Click the “Learn more” button to read more about my toolkit, view my CV, and read my Philosophy of Teaching.
